Well I'll be damned...


WEIGHT: 248.6
EXERCISE: 4 mile walk
FOOD: banana, grapes, lots of water, tuna sandwich, veggies, spaghetti, bread, cup of coffee (decaf)

Day one down 1.4 pounds. HOLY SHIT!!!! On my 4 mile walk this morning I was taking out one of my dogs. As we were crossing a street she decided to drop a fresh steamy deuce in the middle of the road. At the same time a runner came by and stopped and watched. Its one of those times that you have to make a decision if you want to pick it up and carry poop around for the next 2 miles or pretend like its not your dogs. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE...A car was coming down the road. So mentally I decided that if the car ran it over, I could walk away. At that point it would be unable to be picked up. Sooooo....

The car missed it... I picked it up.... Got some on my finger.... it was gross.

That story is besides the point. Day 1 went pretty well. I passed on cheese sticks, fried chicken and all other temptations today. Plus I walked a long ways. This blog thing might be okay.

AND SO IT BEGINS....

This is me... Captain Canada. The purpose of this blog is for me to track my weight loss journey and keep myself honest by posting my weight, what I eat each day, my workout and any cool shit that happens to me along the way. My goal is to make this entertaining, educational and fun. I just need a way to track my progress and make sure that I reach my goal in my desired time frame.


But before I get into that... let me introduce myself. I am going to go by Captain Canada. Not because I am a super hero, but because I am Canadian and I want to avoid crazy stalkers when I hit my goal. Plus, my neighbor gave me a shirt for my 30th b-day and it looked kind of bad ass... so I went with it as my theme. Here is the design on the front.















I live in Raleigh NC and am happily married. ACTUALLY... today is my 3 year wedding anniversary. I know, I'm excited too. I also have a 12 year old son. When I refer to my family, I will call my wife "wifey" and my son "sidekick". This just makes it easier and flows a little better with the whole super hero theme. Cant say where I work but its the combination of retail and cube life. I am sure I will be bitching about it down the road or blaming it for eating a foot long meatball at Subway (because Jared told me too).

I am going to post in the evenings (every night if possible) and start off with this information...

My goal is to use this as a journal and achieve my goal. I plan on posting a picture soon (that's why I added the adult content button) Not really. No penis pics. Just to show my body shape. So three years ago today I weighed 280 pounds. The fattest I have ever been. Since then, I am down to 250 (official weight tomorrow but that's as of 2 days ago).

My first big milestone is when I hit.... 222. Once I hit 222 I am going to get my third tattoo. Probably one of Captain Canada placed somewhere on my body. Don't worry, it wont be a tramp stamp or something lame like that. Probably shoulder or upper back. I am sure I will take pics of the others and post them online but that's for another day. So I call the immediate goal... 222TATTOO. Just sounds nice.

Now that you get the jist of it... I look forward to sharing this 28 pound weight loss journey with you (even though I have no followers). Even if its just me, at least it will keep me honest.

I am off to my last unhealthy dinner with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. See you tomorrow.
